Gifts from Your Kitchen: Cat Cookies [Recipe]

Last week I shared a recipe for treats for the canines in your life — and now my cats are a bit upset that there was no mention of them!

Reese (below) seems to be saying “But what about US?”

Grey (below) has been standing by his decorative canister from The Container Store hoping that I will fill it with a favorite snack for him.

For all of your cute cats and owners of favorite felines, here’s an economical recipe for a gift from your kitchen without the additives and mystery ingredients found in some of the store-bought brands.

Cheese Cookies for Cats
  1. ¾ cup cheddar cheese
  2. 5 Tblsp. Parmesan cheese
  3. ¼ cup plain yogurt
  4. ¾ cup white flour
  5. ¼ cup cornmeal
  1. Combine all ingredients. Add a small amount of water as needed to form dough. Knead into a ball. Roll to ¼ inch. Cut into small cookies using a small cutter or just cut into small squares.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes on greased baking sheet.
