A Quick & Easy Breakfast Idea: Cinnamon Roll Mug Cake

When you love food, but also love to remain in good health, it can be difficult to perfect the balancing act of eating in moderation.

When I get a craving for carbs and/or sweets, I find that microwave mug cakes are incredibly convenient. Mug cakes allow me to satisfy my sweet tooth, without the temptation of getting another slice. These are also a great option for breakfast!

  1. Spray a microwavable mug with cooking spray. and then mix together Bisquick, baking powder, milk, maple syrup, vanilla and coconut oil inside. Add more milk, if needed, for desired consistency.
  2. In a seprate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the top of the mixture in mug.
  3. Microwave on high for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Take out of the microwave and transfer to a plate before serving.
