With the frigid weather outdoors, it’s tempting to stay indoors bundled up — and not come back out until we absolutely must.
While we can’t remedy freezing temperatures, there are a few unique ways that we can stay warm without the aid of manmade heat. Read on for a few surprising ways — that actually work.
Turn On Your Ceiling Fan
You normally turn on your fan when you’re too hot, right? Surprisingly, a fan can help to push your warm air in the right direction. All you have to do is turn your fan on lowest setting in a clockwise direction to push the air back so you can feel it.
Use a Pool Noodle in the Winter
Cold air can sometimes come in from underneath the door. To trap heat in and keep cold out, take a pool noodle and cut it in half, lengthwise, and slide it under your door.
Using your oven to warm your home is an old-school method that still works. I guarantee you’ll feel even even better if you invite friends — and all their body heat — over to eat baked goods.
