Springtime and Strawberries: A Seasonal Salad Recipe

I love this time of year when we can enjoy sweet locally grown strawberries — and I am certainly happy to hear they were not harmed by the wacky weather.

These sweet, popular berries also pack a healthy punch! The more we eat of them, the lower our risk for heart disease, stroke and cancer because of their high levels of vitamin C and other antioxidants.

  1. Toss together the lettuce, strawberries and kiwi.
  2. Add the avocado just before serving to preserve its color.
